WordPress Plugin Database
There are a lot of plugins here, I won't deny that, most of them, however, are useless to the average user. They were apparently written by people who had a very specific task and very specific needs. If your blog is not exactly like theirs the plugins are pretty much useless.
There are possible exceptions, though, like the following:
Instant Upgrade
Autolinks
Edit N Place
